Mesa HoHoKam, Steve Adams, presents a 50/50 Raffle Grant to Mesha Davis, Chief Philanthropy Officer of Save the Family. Save the Family provides Housing, Case Management and Supportive Services for families experiencing homelessness and poverty. These funds will support their Children’s Services program which serves 2,000 homeless and impoverished children annually.

With the funds received from the 2023 grant cycle, we purchased equipment and granted 2 partial Scholarships and 1 full scholarship to high school players, and 2 full scholarships for our youth program. Our league stipulates boundaries, and in our territory, there are 19 Title 1 schools. Our club was able purchase a stockpile of loaner equipment that allowed players to use and play without the financial burden of equipment. Mesa HoHoKam, Neil Barna was their sponsor.

These funds will be used to fix broken bleachers and to fix up the playing fields as well as obtaining new playing equipment.

These funds will help support the programs that Oakwood provides for families that have loved ones with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Oakwood currently operates in four locations in the East Valley.
